The Great Migration of Mari and Lucia

This is a Suitcase Crankie theater. I created a story about Mari, a monarch butterfly from the North Fork of Long Island and Lucia, a little Mexican girl. Both are going to take a long trip: Mari is going to Michoacán, México and Lucia is going to the North Fork . Both face challenges and the story ends with a Day of the Dead celebration. The show included puppets as well and usually followed up with a sock puppet workshop!
