The Art of Bird Counting with a Crankie: A Unique Approach

So I am always learning about the environmental community around me. This year it was the Great Backyard Bird Count! From February 14 through the 17th, the GBBC begins. The National Audubon Society and Cornell Laboratory of Ornithology, as well as local nature groups/camps, encourage kids and families to go out and start counting birds! I knew I wanted to be a part of this and found the book, Bird Count, by Susan Edward Richmond and adapted it for a Crankie to show my favorite environmental camp, Turtleback Farms in Cutchogue!
