Martina la Cucaracha - Martina the Cockroach - (Cuban version)

I have wanted to share this folktale for a long time, and finally came across this version from Cuba that was the best! I instantly began making Martina, la abuela (the grandmother), el Don Gallo (the rooster), el Don Cerdo (the pig), el señor Largarto (lizard) and finally, el Ratón Perez (the mouse). I used foam clay for all the heads and dressed them all!. My brother Rick helped create the scenery which was a Lamp post. Here is a video of a performance for a community Latino family meet up group. I also made small parrots for the audience children to use to participate.
