Malala Yousafzai : Inspiration for me and my students

While prepping for a celebration of Women's History Month, I decided to research a little more about Malala Yousafzai. I was surprised how many of my 6th graders didn't know about her! So that meant I had to do a little more! I found the book, El Lápiz Mágico de Malala (Malala's magic pencil). It's a beautiful story written by Malala. I had to make a puppet and do a read-aloud. The puppet was also there to visit the class!
