Telling stories

So much of what we try to tell our students is to imagine. Imagine I don't speak English, Imagine your classmate is new to the school from another country, Imagine, you are in Peru and you are visiting an

indigenous village up in the Andes. Here you meet Esperanza, a storyteller who knows many legends, fables, and stories to tell that have been passed down for generations.

I went to the Czech Republic to work with a master marionette wood sculptor. I originally wanted to make a mother/woman marionette but my master teacher persuaded me that carving an old woman would be easier and besides, old woman have more stories to tell. How true!
