World Migratory Bird Day!!

Families enjoyed a hike and observed hundreds of migrating tree swallows. This was a fun inspiration! I decided I would make large flapping birds that participants could use while on the hike!
For the indoor entertainment, I made a giant cardboard Crankie to tell the story of "Lights out!" during bird migration, Children were later able to join in with their own paper silhouettes of different birds and re-tell the story. Some bird crafts followed!
